Life is a Dream -based on the Spanish classic ‘La Vida es Sueño’ by Calderón de la Barca.

This music was composed in 2007 for a multi media theatre presentation of the play which ran initially in New York at the Culture Project and later in Spain at the Festival de Almagro.


Dali Lama Blues

This music was written in response to a series of wonderfully evocative images from Tibet by British photographer Michael Calvert. It was performed live at the Rubin Museum in New York, as part of their international exhibition of works relating to the Dali Lama, ‘Missing Peace’.

The Neruda Series

This series is a group of works inspired by some of the Chilean Poets last writings from 1973, published in the book Pablo Neruda - 'The Sea and the Bells'. These musical responses and reflections set the poems with a natural enviromental sound, single instrument and voice.

The Tri-phonics

This group was a New Zealand based trio, formed in the early 1990's (I co-founded The Tri-phonics with New York born N.Z. based composer, Jonathan Besser). This trio is an early expression of my interest in exploring music which is texturally transparent and formally open.
